Power-station coal inventories in northern, eastern and central China are falling because of weather-related disruption to deliveries, the China Business News reported yesterday.
Export prices at Richards Bay, Africa’s biggest coal-export facility and Europe’s largest single source of the fuel, rose by 3,75, or 4,8%, to an average of 81,20 a ton in the three days to December 31 according to the Business Day report.
