ERNST & Young has launched a new Africa Business Centre to enhance the services it offers across Africa. The CEO of Ernst & Young Africa, noted that many global companies had underestimated the combined effect of Africa’s size, infrastructure underdevelopment, shortage of skilled resources and unreliable telephony and technology systems on their own business models.
Through the African Business Centre, Ernst & Young could enhance the focus on Africa by drawing upon its global and local knowledge to retain the confidence of investors, manage risk, strengthen controls and assist in sourcing opportunities.
With Africa receiving much attention from global investment business forums, it was critical that doing business on the continent was perceived to be as cost-effective and as opportune as possible.
