EMPLOYMENT in SA grew at an annual rate of 2,83% last month following a sharp decline in September, according to a report issued by human capital management and business process outsourcing group Adcorp Holdings yesterday.
The number of permanent workers increased 1,32% and the number of temporary workers rose 6,47%.
The index, which is regarded as the most representative barometer of employment trends in SA, reflected increased employment at an annual rate of 5,96% in the wholesale and retail sectors. The transport and communication sectors, largely connected with the marketing and distribution of goods and services, expanded employment 6,92%.
